You want to up your lighting game!

You’re great on location, but are wanting to up your game. Studio lighting can be taken on location to highlight your subject in the frame, or take so-so lighting and make beautiful lighting.

How Many spots are available?

10 spots are available for the Studio Lighting Course.

Where will the class be held?

At my studio in Lexington, KY off Winchester Road.

We will have a Q&A near the end and the class will be filmed for your future reference. Plus you can email me anytime!

Do I need to bring my camera?

It’s not required. However, there will be a meet and greet after class which is optional. At this time you have the freedom to photograph the models there and experiment with what I’ve demonstrated, or take headshots for other photographers!

Is this class a good fit for me?

If you’re somewhat familiar with flash photography, but haven’t dove into it very deep, yes, this class is for you. If you haven’t ever touched a flash, I would recommend my Indoor Lighting 101 class.

If you’re a seasoned studio photographer who understands the physics of light, familiar with different modifiers, and are comfortable with playing with lighting equipment, you won’t get much from this class.

May I bring my own lighting?

I will provide lighting during the class, and during the Meet & Greet you will be able to use my equipment to photograph other photographers there or models.

After the class, I encourage you to play with your own lighting using the techniques and knowledge learned from the class.

The class is on June 21st, 2022, but you need to sign up by May 21st to reserve your spot!

Meet Kristen

Wedding & Portrait Photographer

Hey, you! I’m Kristen, and I’m a happy-go-lucky, laid-back photographer. When you take a class with me, know that you are automatically taking a class with a friend. I’m in your corner to take your skills to new heights!

I’ve been published, won awards, but everything comes back to light. It’s our art form. Painters have acrylics, oils, and watercolors. We have light. Learning how it works and how to shape it is everything in our industry. I can’t wait to see you in class!
